The Emerald Spot Sailfin
An astonishing lizard, the medium-sized Emerald Spot Sailfin, is one of a group of nocturnal reptiles of the Utapangan Archipelago. This insectivore is quite unique in that the emerald green spots bio-luminesce when the animal is excited or surprised. This green glow is also used during the mating season by the male to draw females to it from great distances. It great speed and alertness lets it easily outrun any predators.
