PALUMIKI or LONG NECK SEA TURTLE. The long neck sea turtle, called Palumiki in Utapanganese, is the smallest of all sea turtles, averaging under 2’ in length. It is found on the rocky Northern shores of several of the Utapangan islands, but is most common on Roapa Island. The Palumiki feeds on plants that grow among the rocks and its long neck allows it to forage deeper into crevasses and between rocks for the tastiest morsels.
